RECORDING
Ever since I started playing the drums I have been recording myself, initially for personal reflection and now as a career. I offer remote recording services from the unique layout of my apartment in Bristol with its beautiful and resonant 4 meter tall ceilings or utilizing the smaller, more compact recording space of my kitchen to capture a more intimate sound of my drums. When prices are negotiated, I usually record a few different variations of ideas and allow a few rounds of feedback to take place so together we can lock in on your creative vision.
Furthermore, I always provide samples of the kit so any future edits can be made smoothly. Ideas will be sent to you in MP3 format and upon final payment, I will send all stems both unmixed and roughly mixed by myself. Some of my credits from my at-home studio sessions include Oxford University Press Orchestral Compositions, Slowe, Freddie Lewis and my drums were featured on a remix that was nominated for a Juno Award.
If you are local to Bristol, why not come by for the recording session anyway and direct it in person? I will engineer, produce and perform for you while you can give me instantaneous feedback, kick your feet up and raid my tea/coffee cabinet.
My home recording setup is as follows:
Behringer C-1 - Bass Drum
Shure SM57 - Snare Drum
AKG P120s - Overheads
Roland Rubix 44 Audio Interface
Ableton Live 10
I am always eager to spend a few days in a studio of your choosing as well, taking time to get to know each other and work on your music in a closer, collaborative manner. I can also suggest a few studios local to the southwest that I already have working relationships with.
“Conor has been my go to drummer for over 4 years now. He’s always enthusiastic and professional, and is a fantastic collaborator. You can throw anything at him and he’ll catch it on beat!”
